2025 State Service Project: Mission Working Dogs
We as a state board have chosen Missions Working Dogs as our state service project. Mission Working Dogs is a non-profit organization in Maine that improves the lives of people with disabilities by providing properly trained service dogs, helping them live more independently. The organization also provides therapy dogs to support the mental well-being of Maine residents, including those in nursing homes, hospitals, and schools. The founder, who is disabled herself, has a deep passion for helping both dogs and people with disabilities.
Our goal for this year's service project is to raise $2,500 to donate to Mission Working Dogs. You can support this goal by purchasing Maine FBLA t-shirts and hoodies, purchasing state conference t-shirts, and holding a chapter fundraiser to raise funds and donate to Mission Working Dogs. If we reach our goal of $2,500, we will earn the privilege of naming one of Mission Working Dogs' puppies.
Donation checks can be made payable to Mission Working Dogs and brought with you to the conference. We will present checks to a representative from Mission Working Dogs at dinner on Monday, March 17th.
